Wake County Man Charged with State Tax Offense

RALEIGH – A Wake Forest man was arrested Monday on misdemeanor tax charges filed by the North Carolina Department of Revenue.
Sidney Rochell Lowe, 53, of Wake Forest, was charged on February 18, 2013 with three counts of Willful Failure to file a North Carolina Individual Income Tax Return for the tax years 2009 through 2011.
Arrest warrants allege that Lowe willfully failed to file his 2009, 2010, and 2011 personal income tax returns with the North Carolina Department of Revenue.
Lowe appeared before a Wake County magistrate and was placed under a $10,000 unsecured bond. A first appearance was scheduled for March 19, 2013 in Wake County District Court in Raleigh.
The charges against Lowe resulted from an investigation by a special agent with the Department's Criminal Investigations Section in Raleigh.
