Lexington Man Charged with State Tax Offenses

RALEIGH – A Lexington man was arrested Thursday on tax charges filed by the North Carolina Department of Revenue.
David R. Mischick, 65, of 144 Blue Water Point, Lexington, NC was charged on February 21, 2013 with three counts of Willful Failure to File.
Arrest warrants allege that Mischick was required to file North Carolina Individual Income Tax Returns for tax years 2009, 2010 and 2011, but willfully failed to file the returns.
Mischick appeared before a Davidson County magistrate and was placed under a $2,000 bond. A first court appearance was scheduled for April 4, 2013 in Wake County District Court in Raleigh.
The charges against Mischick resulted from an investigation by a special agent with the Department's Criminal Investigations Section in Raleigh.
