RALEIGH -- An Iredell County resident was found guilty Wednesday of tax charges filed by the North Carolina Department of Revenue.

Martin Kerry Bell, 40, of 199 Deerchase Circle, Statesville, was found guilty Jan. 15, 2003 of three counts of failure to pay state individual income tax.

Judge April Wood issued Bell two 45-day suspended sentences. Bell was placed on supervised probation for 36 months and ordered to pay $18, 213,39 in restitution as well as court costs.

The charges against Bell are the result of efforts by the Department of Revenue Statesville Office.
