Yadkin County Resident Guilty of State Tax Charges

RALEIGH – A Yadkin County resident pleaded guilty Tuesday,
Jan. 13, 2003 to charges filed by the North Carolina Department of
Revenue.
Kenny Gobble of 3120 Hamptonville Road, Hamptonville, pleaded guilty
to four counts of failure to file and pay the state individual income
tax.
Judge James Honeycutt issued Gobble a 45-day, suspended sentence.
Gobble was placed on unsupervised probation for one year and ordered
to pay $1,869.80 within 60 days and file his 2002 state income tax
return. He must also perform 24 hours of community service and pay
court costs.
The charges against Gobble are the result of efforts by the Department
of Revenue Hickory Office.
