Business Owners Guilty of State Tax Charges
RALEIGH — Two local business owners pleaded guilty recently to charges filed by the North Carolina Department of Revenue.
Richard G. Peterson of 13 Colony Ridge Circle, Clayton and Allen Kennedy of 104 Jonesboro Court, Raleigh pleaded guilty on March 22, 2006 to failure to file and pay the state withholding tax. Peterson is president and Kennedy is vice-president of PAK Worldwide Freight, Inc., located in Raleigh.
Peterson and Kennedy each received 45-day suspended sentences and were placed on probation for 14 months.
The charges against Peterson and Kennedy are the result of efforts by the Department’s Raleigh Collections Office.
