Raleigh Couple Guilty of State Tax Charges

RALEIGH – A Raleigh couple pleaded guilty Thursday to charges filed by the
North Carolina Department of Revenue.
Rafael A. Alvarado and Yulmayane Hernandez of 9957 Fanny Brown Road pleaded guilty on
May 10, 2007 to failure to file and pay the state individual income tax.
They each received a 90-day suspended sentence and were placed on 36 months
supervised probation. The couple must also pay $8,496.45 in restitution.
The charges against Alvarado and Hernandez are the result of efforts by the
Department’s Raleigh Collections Office.
