Camden County Resident Guilty of State Tax Charges

RALEIGH – A Camden County man was found guilty Friday of charges filed by the North Carolina Department of Revenue.
Vincent B. Forbes of 165 Trotman Road, Shiloh pleaded guilty on June 15, 2007 to seven counts of failure to pay the state individual income tax. Judge J.C. Cole issued Forbes a 45-day suspended sentence and placed him on supervised probation for 18 months. Forbes must also pay $24,443.64 in restitution during that time.
The charges against Forbes are the result of efforts by the Department’s Elizabeth City Collections Office.
