Wake County Resident Guilty of State Tax Charges
Date: June 11, 2008
A Wake County man pleaded guilty Tuesday to charges filed by the North Carolina Department of Revenue.
Terry Atkinson of 4012 Viewmont Drive, Raleigh pleaded guilty on June 10, 2008 to failure to file and pay the sales and use tax. Atkinson was the owner of Terry’s Rims and Trims II, Inc. located in Raleigh. The business is closed.
Atkinson was placed on supervised probation for three years and was ordered to pay $8,368.76 in restitution and court costs.
The charges against Atkinson are the result of efforts by the Department’s Raleigh Collections Office.
