Iredell County Resident Guilty of State Tax Charges

A Mooresville woman pleaded guilty Monday in Iredell County District Court to charges filed by the North Carolina Department of Revenue.
Kimberly J. Bryant of 333 Water St., Mooresville pleaded guilty on June 2, 2008 to failure to file the state individual income tax and failure to file and pay the state withholding tax. Bryant is the owner of KC Cleaning Service.
Judge Mary F. Covington issued Bryant a 30-day suspended sentence and placed her on 24 months supervised probation. Bryant must also pay $1,901.95 in restitution and court costs. She was also ordered to file her 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007 income tax returns within 60 days.
The charges against Bryant are the result of efforts by the Department’s Hickory Collections Office.
