Henderson County Resident Guilty of State Tax Charges

A Henderson County woman pleaded guilty Tuesday to charges filed by the North Carolina Department of Revenue.
Lisa M. Konklin of 70 Wonderview Lane, Hendersonville pleaded guilty on Jan. 27, 2009 to one count of failure to pay the state sales and use tax. Konklin formerly owned and operated Old World Pizza and Subs in Edneyville.
Judge Peter Knight issued Konklin a 45-day suspended sentence and placed her on 36 months of supervised probation. Konklin must also pay $100 per month in restitution and $30 per month in probation and supervision fees.The charges against Konklin are the result of efforts by the Department’s Asheville Collections Office.
