Johnston County Resident Guilty of State Tax Charges

Raleigh - A Johnston county resident pleaded guilty April 24, 2009 in Johnston County District Court to charges of failing to pay state taxes.
Dennis McLeod of 625 E Sanders St., Four Oaks, pleaded guilty to two counts of failure to pay the state withholding tax. He is the owner of Solid Rock Construction.
McLeod was sentenced to 120 days in jail for each count. The jail time was suspended for 5 years with 3 years of supervised probation. His sentences are to run consecutively. He must pay his taxes by April 24, 2012.
The charges against McLeod are the result of efforts by the N.C. Department of Revenue collections office in Greenville.
