Mecklenburg County Resident Guilty of State Tax Charges

A Mecklenburg County man pleaded guilty Monday in District Court to charges filed by the North Carolina Department of Revenue.
Michael K. Pritchett of 515 Louise Ave., Charlotte pleaded guilty on Feb. 9, 2009 failure to file and pay the state individual income tax.
Pritchett received a six month suspended sentence and was placed on five years supervised probation followed by three years unsupervised probation. Pritchett must also pay the state $43,248.54 with interest. All court costs were waived.The charges against Pritchett are the result of efforts by the Department’s Charlotte Collections Office.
