Iredell County Business Owner Guilty of State Tax Charges

RALEIGH – An Iredell county business owner pleaded guilty Feb. 10 in Iredell County District
Court to failure to file and pay the state withholding tax.
Lisa B. Williams, president of T&C Construction of North Carolina, Inc. of 190 Laurel Creek
Rd., Statesville, was sentenced to 45 days by Judge Dale Graham. The jail time was suspended
to 36 months supervised probation. She was ordered to pay court costs and restitution of
$32,002.12 during the probationary period.
The charges against Williams are the result of efforts by the N.C. Department of Revenue
collections office in Hickory.
