Davie County Resident Guilty of State Tax Charges

RALEIGH – A Davie County resident pleaded guilty Thursday to
charges filed by the North Carolina Department of Revenue.
Ronald A. Crowell, 62, of 125 Buck Hill Road, Mocksville, pleaded
guilty on Dec. 11, 2003 to 13 counts of failure to file and pay the
state individual income tax.
Judge Mary Covington issued Crowell a 45-day suspended sentence.
Harris was placed on supervised probation and must pay court costs
as well as $25,641.13 in restitution. He must also remain gainfully
employed and file all unfilled state tax returns.
The charges against Crowell are the result of efforts by the Department
of Revenue Winston-Salem Office.
