Iredell County Resident Guilty of State Tax Charges

RALEIGH – An Iredell County resident pleaded guilty Tuesday to charges filed by the
North Carolina Department of Revenue.
Cliff L. McCoy, 58, of 125 Old Cart Way Drive, Troutman, pleaded guilty on Aug. 26, 2003
to one count of failure to file and one count of failure to pay the state individual income
tax.
Judge Dale Graham issued McCoy a 45-day suspended sentence. McCoy was ordered to pay restitution
and to file his 1997 through 2002 state income tax returns immediately and to file future
returns on time.
The charges against McCoy are the result of efforts by the Department of Revenue Statesville
Office.
