Iredell County Resident Guilty of State Tax Charges

RALEIGH -- An Iredell County resident pleaded guilty recently to
charges filed by the North Carolina Department of Revenue.
Jeffrey L. Moore, 44, of 1601 Kenmore Drive, Statesville, pleaded
guilty on July 14, 2003 to two counts of failure to pay the state
individual income tax.
Judge Ted Royster issued Moore two 45-day sentences. The sentences
were suspended and Moore was placed on supervised probation for
five years. He was also ordered to pay court costs and $23,717.86
in taxes owed to the state.
The charges against Moore are the result of efforts by the Department
of Revenue Statesville Office.
