Iredell County Resident Guilty of State Tax Charges
RALEIGH – An Iredell County resident pleaded guilty Tuesday to charges filed by the North Carolina Department of Revenue.
Clyde W. Propst, 55, of 519 Virginia Ave., Statesville, pleaded guilty on Dec. 2, 2003 to one count of failure to pay the state individual income tax.
Judge Lynn Gullet issued Propst a 45-day suspended sentence. Propst will be on supervised probation for five years and must pay $3,717.83 in restitution and $100 in court costs. He paid $1,600 of the amount after his court appearance. He will be placed on unsupervised probation after the entire amount is paid.
The charges against Propst are the result of efforts by the Department of Revenue Hickory Office.
