Iredell County Resident Guilty of State Tax Charges

An Iredell County resident pleaded guilty recently to charges filed
by the North Carolina Department of Revenue.
David J. Stonestreet of 550 E. Statesville Ave., Mooresville, pleaded
guilty on Dec. 6, 2004 to one count of failure to file the state individual
income tax.
Judge J.M. Honeycutt issued Stonestreet a 45-day suspended sentence.
Stonestreet was placed on supervised probation for 18 months. He was
ordered to pay $3,197.14 in restitution, perform 48 hours of community
service and pay a $300 fine plus court costs.
The charges against Stonestreet are the result of efforts by the
Department’s Hickory Collections Office.
