Burke County Man Guilty of State Tax Charges
A Burke County resident pleaded guilty Monday to charges filed by the North Carolina Department of Revenue.
Timothy Cluckey of 147 Stonebridge Dr., Apt. E, Morganton pleaded guilty on Dec. 11, 2006 to failure to file his state individual income tax.
Judge John Mull issued Cluckey a 120-day sentence. He was ordered to serve an active portion totaling two days and the remaining 118 days were suspended. Cluckey was placed on 60 months special supervised probation and ordered to pay $105,523.70 in delinquent taxes.
The charges against Cluckey are the result of efforts by the Department’s Hickory Collections Office.
