Wake County Resident Guilty of State Tax Charges

RALEIGH – A Wake County woman pleaded guilty recently to charges filed by the North Carolina Department of Revenue.
Brynne C. Diaz of 4021 Wellington Ridge Loop, Cary pleaded guilty on Aug. 8, 2007 to failure to file and failure to pay the state individual income tax. Diaz received a 45 day suspended sentence was placed on supervised probation for 60 months . She must pay $12,839.86 in restitution, pay court costs and agree to file and pay all future taxes.
The charges against Diaz are the result of efforts by the Department’s Raleigh Collections Office.
