Gaston County Business Owner Guilty of State Tax Charges

A Gaston County business owner pleaded guilty recently to charges filed by the North Carolina Department of Revenue.
Joseph Dean Gunn of Gastonia pleaded guilty on Oct. 3, 2007 to failure to file the state withholding tax. Gunn is president of Gunn Flooring Company which is located at 1401 Neal Hawkins Road, Gastonia.
Gunn received a two year suspended sentence and was supervised probation. He also was ordered to pay $8,929.70 in restitution.
The charges against Gunn are the result of efforts by the Department’s Gastonia Collections Office.
