Gaston County Business Owner Guilty of State Tax Charges

A Gaston County business owner pleaded guilty Friday to charges filed by the North Carolina Department of Revenue.
William D. Hart pleaded guilty on Sept. 28, 2007 to one count each of failure to file and failure to pay the state individual income tax. Hart is the owner of Hart’s Janitorial Service, located at 109 Hart Drive, Gastonia. He received three years of supervised probation and was ordered to pay $19,333.51 in restitution.
The charges against Hart are the result of efforts by the Department’s Charlotte Collections Office.
