Wake County Man Guilty of State Tax Charges

RALEIGH – A Wake County resident pleaded guilty recently to charges filed by the North Carolina Department of Revenue.
David M. Loibl of 1133 Davis Drive, Apex pleaded guilty on Aug. 28, 2007 to one count of failure to file and one count of failure to pay the state individual income tax. Loibl was given two 45-day suspended sentences and placed on supervised probation for 60 months.
He was ordered to pay $28,269.68 in restitution, a $500 fine and file all of his individual income tax forms for 2001 through 2006 by Oct. 31, 2007.
The charges against Loibl are the result of efforts by the Department’s Raleigh Collections Office.
