Cleveland County Resident Pleads Guilty to State Tax Charges

A Cleveland County man pleaded guilty recently to charges filed by the North Carolina Department of Revenue.
Dameion T. Poston of 1101 Holder Drive, Shelby pleaded guilty on Aug. 27, 2007 to failure to file the state individual income tax. Judge Dean Black issued Poston a 45-day suspended sentence and placed him on supervised probation for 24 months. Poston must pay $5,845.28 in restitution and court costs.
The charges against Poston are the result of efforts by the Department’s Hickory Collections Office.
