Iredell County Resident Guilty of State Tax Charges

An Iredell County man pleaded guilty Tuesday in District Court to charges filed by the North Carolina Department of Revenue.
David L. Biles of 2315 Corriher Grange Road, Mooresville pleaded guilty on Oct. 21, 2008 to two counts of failure to file and pay the state individual income tax.
Judge Thomas Church issued Biles a 45-day suspended sentence and placed him on five years probation. Biles must also pay $28,572.24 in restitution and court costs.The charges against Biles are the result of efforts by the Department’s Hickory Collections Office.
