Cleveland County Resident Guilty of State Tax Charges

A Cleveland County woman pleaded guilty Monday in District Court to charges filed by the North Carolina Department of Revenue.
Ruby D. Crocker of 1536 N. Piedmont Ave., Kings Mountain pleaded guilty on Aug. 4, 2008 to failure to file and pay the state individual income tax.
Judge Larry J. Wilson issued Crocker a 45-day suspended sentence and placed her on supervised probation for one year. Crocker must also pay restitution, court costs and a $100 fine.
The charges against Crocker are the result of efforts by the Department’s Hickory Collections Office.
