McDowell County Resident Guilty of State Tax Charges

A McDowell County man pleaded guilty Monday in District Court to charges filed by the North Carolina Department of Revenue.
Ronald J. Gallion of 973 Macedonia Church Loop, Nebo pleaded guilty on Nov. 3, 2008 to two counts of failure to file and pay the state individual income tax.
Judge Randy Pool issued Gallion a 240-day suspended sentence and placed him on five years of supervised probation. Gallion must also pay $38,129 and court costs.The charges against Gallion are the result of efforts by the Department’s Hickory Collections Office.
