Alexander County Resident Guilty of State Tax Charges

An Alexander County woman pleaded guilty this week to charges filed by the North Carolina Department of Revenue.
Elicia E. Patrick of 105 BB Lane, Hiddenite pleaded guilty in District Court on July 7, 2008 to three counts of failure to file and pay the state income tax.
Judge Dale Graham issued Patrick a 45-day suspended sentence and placed her on 60 months supervised probation. Patrick must also pay $15,772.30 in restiturion and pay attorney fees and court costs.
The charges against Patrick are the result of efforts by the Department’s Hickory Collections Office.
