NCDOR W-2 and 1099 Information - Corrected

On November 9, 2010, the North Carolina Department of Revenue announced—in error—a change in reporting requirements of W-2 and 1099 information for the 2010 tax year. It is not the department’s policy to require small employers to file that information electronically. However, we are exploring more options and enhanced services to better assist those taxpayers.
Companies or businesses that already file via CD-ROM may continue to do so. Those who do not file via CD-ROM should continue to file as they have in the past.
